i have been trying to make my eyes look darker and bolder withought looking like an emo.
just something that really brings out my eyes.
any ideas/tricks will do!
thanksHow do i do this makeup technique?
Try the smokey eye. There are instructional videos on You Tube. How do i do this makeup technique?
In order to make your eyes ';pop'; do the following:
use a neutral shimmer eyeshadow on your eyelid
use a neutral shimmer eyeshadow in a darker shade in the crease of your eye
use black mascara
use a white eyeliner on your waterline
use black eyeliner on your lashline
use a shimmery white or beige (any color lighter than your skin tone) under your eyebrow / in the inner corner of your eye
i hope this helps!
try a smokey thats not a full smokey, and you don't need to use a black, browns and greys work really well too...this is what i do, and i'm going to try and explain this the best i can but im horrible with things like this lol but here goes,
use a lighter shade all over your lid (if i use brown i usually use a light shimmery gold or a light shimmery pink, and if i use black/grey, then a light shimmery white, but very neutral shades, just to give a hint of shimmer and colour) pick whichever you think looks good together though, just yeah don't go crazy with the colour cuz youll look clowny. then take your dark shade, and use it only on the outer corner of your eye, and then sweep it into the crease, then i use a liquid eyeliner just on the outer corner also, where the shadow is, and then use a pencil to line your upper water line and then a couple coats of mascara, works for me anyways, hope that made some sence lol good luck girly xo,
Smokey eye is a great look, but make sure you keep lips really plain with it, ie. just a bit of foundation or concealer to mute them and nothing else. There are many ways to do smokey eye, tutorials on YouTube, this is a great one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zupy7R4uR2g
If your a bit black eyeshadow will look emo you can use greys or browns instead.
you could get a smokey eye kit on EyesLipsFace.com! Hope it helps! :)

You can add like a shimmer to the inner corner of your eyes.
Try just applying eyeliner to the top of your eye in a thick band, and only extend it from the eyelid a bit. It's classy!

I want to take a class on how to apply makeup, just for fun and technique. Any ideas?
I am a college student already so something that's only a day or 2 would be best. I just want better understanding of the makeup I use and better skills at applying it (going out ect.). I live in southeast WI but would go to Chicago if anyone knows of anything. Thanks!I want to take a class on how to apply makeup, just for fun and technique. Any ideas?

Girls-makeup and styling techniques?
im going into beauty school and i have to create a styling and makeup look for my mannequin (whom has a given scenario inc. old look and height, weight, etc. details)...the details are as follows:
makeup- usually wear light eye shadow and eyeliner with dark and thick eyeshadow under the eyeliner....otherwise just wear natural-looking lipstick and light face powder and blush
styling- anything boldly conservative and fashion forward (e.g. high pants; wide-leg pants; striped purple shirt and yellow pants)...wears lighter colors when thin and darker colors when not
information- tall (a little less than around 6'), normal-heavy weight (around 150), dark brown hair, blue/green-ish eyes (cool, but pretty small), round/ oval face shape
Please help- the project is due in a week! THANK YOU!Girls-makeup and styling techniques?
Okay i will answer your question just give me time and dont delete it kay?
LIPS: i would go for a good nude lip so put the base/foundation on the lips with a nice tan lip gloss
FACE: apply the foundation/concealer where needed and powder. get a transluscent shimmery powder and apply to the cheekbones and nose bridge. get a bronzer and apply on the hollows of the cheekbones and on the temples a bit.
EYES: apply a shimmery light color from lid to brow and on the tear ducts. next get a darker brown and apply on the outer side of the lid, blend well and get in the creases. for the eyeliner get a dark chocolate brown and apply on the outer corners of the eyes thicker on the top and lighter on the bottom. and lastly curl the lashes and apply a thickening mascara.Girls-makeup and styling techniques?
Sometimes when putting eye-shadow, put a small line after the eye area after applying to eye.
Strapless shirts that cover until belly-button are nice. The really short shorts are in style. for the top, the colors you should choose from are:
*white with pink polka dots
*black with yellow stripes
*purple with blue tiny blue stars on the edges
The short shorts, do them jean color (that type of blue)
If you put lipstick, mascara, and eye-liner that coordinate are nicer that just putting colors you enjoy on.
Make sure to put on make-up with confidence, it helps make it look nicer and neater!!
hope this helps!!
you should've started earlier. but who am i to talk? i'm the world's biggest procrastinator. welcome to the club(:

Does anybody know how to do this makeup technique?
http://a68.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/imag鈥?/a>
her eye makeup, i really like it.
...or does anybody know a website where they show you how?Does anybody know how to do this makeup technique?
All you need are a medium brown eyeshadow, a shimmery white/flesh tone eyeshadow, a good black mascara, like maybelline XXL in black, and a GREAT eyeliner- i use maybelline unstoppable in onyx. This eyeliner is awesome because it doesn't smear easily (like a regular pencil liner), but it is much easier to apply than liquid eyeliner. Start by applying the eye shadow to your eyelid. Starting at the inner corner of your upper lid, draw a thick line as close as possible to your lash line, all the way to the outer corner. Repeat several times if necessary. Starting in the inner corner of the lower lid, draw a line on/just below the lash line. Make it as thick or thin as you like, but don't go too thin or it won't match your upper lid. Be sure to line the ';ledge'; over your eye lashes. leaving this unlined makes a space between the white of your eye and the black eyeliner, and you lose that intensity. After you are satisfied with the liner, apply 2-4 coats of mascara on ALL of your lashes. Apply the light eyeshadow to your brow bone and just under your eyeliner on your lowerlid.
it takes practice and a steady hand to get it the way she has it (this is why she has professionals apply it), but with some practice you will see results!Does anybody know how to do this makeup technique?
Just take a black eyeliner pencil and pencil on thick.
don t do it a dont support this kind of heinicity
thats basicly like smokey eye, go youtube and search that OR search scene make-up//hair
okay she used a pencil eyeliner on the top and bottom and then she smudged it. she also used brown eyeshadow and pink lip gloss
I think they took a thick black kohl eyeliner pencil and lined top and bottom, then smudged, then went over it with matching dark gray or black eyeshadow, and then put false eyelashes on. Looks like they used a little taupe or light brown eyeshadow oin her crease and browbone.
Good luck! =)hair straightener

any websites that show celebrity (or just normal peoples) makeup and tells you techniques....thanks!Celebrity makeup photos? and Techniques?
I would try using http://kevynaucoin.com/ Kevyn was a brilliant make up artist and unfortunately has passed away, but I think he has some fabulous techniques and ideas. Also he has a book, but I think it is very expensive, but it has wonderful suggestions and photo's. Maybe have a look at it next time you are in a book shop - start with 'Making Faces' and 'Face Forward' to give you some motivation and techniques!!! Good luck with this :-)Celebrity makeup photos? and Techniques?

Makeup; any good combinations or techniques? help?
So I was wondering if any of you have any good techniques for putting on makeup and not making it look to fake. I have brown hair, Blue Eyes, And freckles. My skine tone is an ivory. I really dislike my freckles you what are some good remidies for covering up freckles without the makeup coming off. I have school so i want sone advice on having the makeup stay on all day. And any techniques on how to aplly mascara or eyeshadow or any other makeup and make it look really good?Makeup; any good combinations or techniques? help?
I am a make-up artist and this is one of the main question.
The system of applying makeup for a natural look is fast and easy when you get the hang of it.
Steps:
1. Understand that a 'natural' look is one that uses colors that are right for your skin tone. How much you use, and where, depends on your personal style.
2. Make sure your concealer is yellow in tone since it mutes imperfections without adding color, giving your skin a natural look.
3. Apply foundation that matches your skin tone. The right foundation will seem to disappear on your face. If you are African-American, it's a good idea to have light, medium and dark shades of your foundation to allow for different gradations of color on different parts of your face.
4. Apply eye makeup in earthy tones'beige, brown, gold or plum for shadows and brown and charcoal gray for liner and mascara. Skip liner or shadow entirely if you want to keep makeup light.
5. Choose a blush color that is close to the color of your cheeks after you've exercised.
Tips:
Remember to clean and moisturize your face first.
Choose brighter or darker tones for a stronger, more made-up look.
Intensify your natural makeup for evening. Instead of brown, for example, go for charcoal around the eyes. 'Pop' blush with a brighter color over your usual one. Make lips brighter, darker or more shimmery.
I hope that helps.
Applying Eye shadow
the Smoky Eye look is IN right now. I love doing the smoky eye look and the best way instead of wearing all black is to do the same preperation just use color from pink to blue, just make sure you cordinate with the outfit. Try that and I will bet you will try it again and again. I just dont like using black alot.
DO NOT PUT ON THE INNER RIM IF U DO IT WILL BE SOME CONSEQUENCES.
USE A SMUDGER PENCIL.
If you do this look make sure, you with use eye liner in pencil or liquid you can get that in color also.
If you eyes are: Blue
Try: Browns and rose. Warm shades contrast the coolness of blue eyes, making them stand out. Apply from lashlines to creases and top with black mascara.
Anyone-Can-Wear-'Em-Shades: Charcoal, chocolate, black. (Tip: Since they can look heavy on the lid, use these colors as liners to complement any shadow hue.)
To apply pencil liner precisely, gently pull the outer corner of your eyes so your lashes make a straight line. Angle the tip of the pencil toward your lashes and lightly draw from inner to outer corner.
mascara
eye shadow brush(s)

Applying Mascara
Don't Pump Up
Never, ever pump the wand - this adds air to the mascara container, which will only make your mascara dry out faster.
Color Code
As a general rule, brown or soft black are best for daytime; black works best for night.
When Less Is More
Use less mascara on lower lashes than on top lashes. Or forego mascara on lower lashes for a more casual look.
Outta Here!
If your mascara smells funny or is more than six months old, chuck it. The eyes are very sensitive to bacteria.
Stretch It Out!
After you've coated lashes with mascara, add just one more layer to the outer corners. The extra coat will make your lashes look especially long.
Hope that helpsMakeup; any good combinations or techniques? help?
The natural look can actually take a lot of make up. Keep long lasting foundation (if needed), and don't exactly cake it on but enough to cover th freckles. Keep eyeliner medimum (not to light will come off and not too dark) Mascara volumizing (not too much volume), and use blush not bronzer blush looks more like the nautral red in the skin (only put it only the cheek bones). Have any more questions ask me
I also have light skin and freckles. I've found that the best kind of foundation to use is L'Oreal Bare Natural Minerals. It's expensive ($12) but it's definitely worth it. It looks very natural and hides blemishes well. It won't make your face a different color than your neck. :)

What sort of tools or makeup applying techniques should i use for mimicking Heath Ledger's Joker look?
I love playing around with face paints and theatrical make up, my poor brothers are my canvases, but they don't seem to mind.
As we all now, The Dark Knight really hit it off, and I have a group friends asking me if I’ll do their make up for Halloween, and they all want to be the Joker, like a mob of matching clowns lol. Now, I can do a basic match up, but it just isn’t good enough for me… not dark (in a moody sense) enough. I am having trouble catching the streaking and twisted dark look of a maniac without completely destroying the entire job. I have until October to get it down before I disappoint my friends. Do you have any suggestions on how to improve my streaking and application? should I use oils? Water? Any type of particular tool? Any suggestions on a good make up brand? THANY YOU!What sort of tools or makeup applying techniques should i use for mimicking Heath Ledger's Joker look?
It really depends on how much money you're willing to spend on your make-up. I would start off by making the scars on the corners of the mouth with Ben Nye's Nose %26amp; Scar Wax. If you use Spirit Gum underneath the wax, it will stay in place longer. Seal with liquid latex. Use a cream based foundation for the white (cream based make up is easier to apply and lasts longer than powder and liquid based make up). Water based make up will sweat off. Personally, I use Celebre. Set with a powder. For the mouth, you can either use smeared lipstick or a color palatte (Mehron has a pallate called Clown Tri-Color Makeup Pallate that includes red, black and white). For the eyes, you could use black pressed eyeshadow. As for the hair, Manic Panic carries semi-permanent hair dye (Green Envy or Electric Lizzard Green), or you could use spray. The thing to do is play around with it a little bit and use pictures as refrences. If you live near a costume shop, visit and ask someone in the make up department for ideas and tips. Good luck!

lol nice pic..yah i can help..Applying makeup is really simple and should not be over thought..Since u have awesome blue eyes u need to avoid wearing any blue eye make up..not eyeliner or mascara just the shadow..Brown and golds are a great color for blue eyes and so are purples..for u the deeper the purple the better id say..So now that u have the colors u need to know how to put it all on ur face to make it look good and for it to accent ur face..Pick out a color and get 3 shades of it a dark a light and a midtone..(i'll use golds as an example)..first u would take a dark brown and apply it in the far side of ur eye all the way untill about the iris. then u take a cream and apply it to the rest of the lid(w/out covering the makeup u just applied) since u have such big eyes try not to apply makeup to the brow bone but make sure u put it in the crease otherwise when u blink there will be a line..then take a gold and blend the two colors together at about the iris then add mascara and id use a brow pencil for u too.. If u want more definition take a dark blue eyeliner pencil and only apply eyeliner to the far side of ur eye tracing the eyes natural sideways v shape and over this gently apply a light ever so light layer of the gold shadow..it's great to do this for evenings..Hope it helps good luck!!Need help with makeup applying techniques?
In my opinion you are very pretty the way you are and you don't need makeup however if you still want to wear it you can always to to your local mall or shoppers drug mart and talk to a cosmotoligist there... I am sure that they would love to help you and will help you out and they will also ask you what you are looking for.
i think you are really pretty the way you are and you dont need to change anything about you if you really want to change allttle something just try wearing foundation, and some eyelner then that is all cause you look good the way you are
First u want to takecare of your skin and protect it. So cleasing it with a good face wash and apply some SPF. Your very cute so u can look fab just by simply applying some lip gloss or just dab on some Smith's Rosebud salve, for cheeks, since its summer go with a cream blush or a cheek stain which will give you a flattering complexion that will look more natural. for the eyes Kohls has a really cute eye shadow mousse, it adds a nice sheen and will perk up your eyes in an instant. Use a eye liner in a mauve color and trace your upper lash line and extend the color slightly past the outer corner of your eye and then apply your liner on the inner rim of your lower lash lines. Curl your lashes with a eyelash curler and you are good to go. If u want to get rid of the tired look, try Sally Hansen natural beauty concealer. Just pat a little around your eyes, it will make u look like u slept all night.

16 btwNeed help with makeup applying techniques?
lol nice pic..yah i can help..Applying makeup is really simple and should not be over thought..Since u have awesome blue eyes u need to avoid wearing any blue eye make up..not eyeliner or mascara just the shadow..Brown and golds are a great color for blue eyes and so are purples..for u the deeper the purple the better id say..So now that u have the colors u need to know how to put it all on ur face to make it look good and for it to accent ur face..Pick out a color and get 3 shades of it a dark a light and a midtone..(i'll use golds as an example)..first u would take a dark brown and apply it in the far side of ur eye all the way untill about the iris. then u take a cream and apply it to the rest of the lid(w/out covering the makeup u just applied) since u have such big eyes try not to apply makeup to the brow bone but make sure u put it in the crease otherwise when u blink there will be a line..then take a gold and blend the two colors together at about the iris then add mascara and id use a brow pencil for u too..

Well you can always message me, I'll help you with brands, prices, application, colors, you name it! But try Maybelline.com because you can buy the stuff and try it on a model virtually first
i can not stress this enough with us women, ';play around with your make-up'; take time to apply and just see what you like. look at magazines, and just try. that is how i learned, i played around with it. i have come up with my style, and i love it.
It's better if you learn make-up technique, it in person, working on customers. If you don't, you won't get a ';feel'; for the make-up, or the texture of the skin of your customer. You won't know how a particular color looks on the skin of your customer, or which color lips works best for the customer. You will waste time and money studying on the internet.
If you work in a store, you can build up a client list, and perhaps, work from home with your exclusive customers.hair straightener

New makeup techniques?
so here's a fun opportunity for my fellow makeup freaks to put in their 2 cents -- I've gotten bored with my usual lid, brow, crease routine for my every day look. I mean, it always looks good but I seem to be stuck in a rut... Anyone have any new techniques you'd like to share??New makeup techniques?
YES!!! Oh how I love new techniques. So heres what I do.
I wear a thick black liquid eyeliner and do a sweep up at the end (ala retro style), then I take a dark BRIGHT color, maybe turquoise and put it on up to my crease, and then follow the eyeliner sweep outside of my actual lid. Then I take a thin brush and, in the corner on top of the crease, I add another crazy color that will match, say purple or pink. But I make it a light shade. Then I get a white translucent shimmer powder and fill in the arch of my brows, so that it has a shimmer look. It highlights the brows well.
as for under my eyes, after I curl my lashes and apply mascara, I take the tip of a pointed eyeshadow brush, and get some shimmery dark black shadow and use it as eyeliner for my bottom lid. Under the lashes. It gives that smokey heroin chic look.New makeup techniques?
Hey, I know how it is, I get super bored and am always looking for ways to change up my techniques and makeup styles.
Youtube is a big help.
Have you tried cutting the crease?
Not your everyday casual look but it definitely looks fierced if done correctly.
You basically just emphasize your crease line by using a black (or whatever shadow) then going from there
Take a look at this tutorial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxxiLHBqu鈥?/a>
Always curl eyelashes. It makes a significant difference before mascara application. Lipstick is like the shoes or handbags of makeup. Women are more likely to change their lipstick color than any other item of makeup... Choosing the right foundation takes a little more time and effort... It is important to note that some makeup products are made from the same ingredients regardless of cost such as mascaras, lip liners and eyeliners...
Experiment with colors! Sometimes I go neutral on my lid/crease blah blah. Then I wet my eyeliner brush and use a bright shadows, such as blue, and make a very thick eyeliner line, usually only halfway across the lid. Then I take purple (or green, etc), wet it, use it to line the other half of the eye. blend blend blend them together. Then I put a thin line of liquid black. Easy pop of color.
Or do two colors on the lid. Use a neutral on the inner corner and a bright color on the outer. Blend! Use a toned down version of this color in the crease and a neutral on the brow bone.
Or if you're in a rush, just use a bright colored liner under your bottom lashes or on your waterline.
Honestly, color is the way to change it up. Use the technique you know and apply new twists to it.
Try opening up the eye a bit by putting some light coloured eyeliner on your water line and a darker one underneath.
A look that never fails is putting a white eyeshadow on the lid up to the crease and above that a darker eyeshadow, blended well. Finish with some liquid eyeliner.
my favorite is sort a more natural smokey eye.
i use a black kohl pencil and go only along my top lash line, then i just use tempting by MAC (dark, sparkley brown) and put that all over my lid, smudging the kohl.
then mascara. :)
i dont have any eye techniques, but an amazing concealer technique instead!
i have bad dark circles, and if i put a tad of chapstick under my concealer, it makes it last longer and it covers better!
Toucan is a fun new technique to use if you don't mind using a lot of color.
Well theres lots of different makeup techniques on youtube(:

Good makeup techniques for asian eyes?
Okay, so my eyes are ver-r-r-ry difficult. I am asian, so my crease doesn't run all the way to the inner corner, and you can't see my tear ducts. I do have a tiny bit of a crease, but it only goes to the middle of my eyelid. Also, I have kindof small eyes so it's easy to make them look even smaller. For example, I can't wear eyeliner on my water line. It sortof works if I jsut put it on the outer corner of my lower lash line, but it always makes me look like I have dark circles. It's always hard for me to find makeup techniques that work for my eyes, if anyone has any tips or suggestiong on eyeshadow for asian people, like how to make my eyes look bigger, I would much appreciate it.
Thank you!!!Good makeup techniques for asian eyes?
Hey! I'm half asian, so I totally understand your issue-that side of my family is always complaining.....I would say, depending on where you live (hopefully near a large-ish city)... i would save up if necessary and get eyelash extensions..... they last for a couple months; you don't have to use mascara and long full eyelashes make even the smallest eyes look larger
I would avoid dark eyeliner directly on the lid- it will only make your eyes look smaller
go with a light tan/gold/white eye shadow on lightly (you can do it both above on the eyelid and below your lashes, being careful not to cover up your lashes) and you could use a little dark eyeliner on your outer edge for a little cat eye look- plus think about your eyebrows as their shape can make your eyes look bigger and also, defining your brows may help (you can get browshadow etc anywhere from walgreens to sephora)
*also remember- if you want to change your eyes- find a feature of your face you like and play it up (bright glossy lip color or soft peachy pink cheeks)
If you want a specific look, check bobbi brown/ mac cosmetics or any brand that often uses asian models and you can copy cat their look
and girl- DO NOT worry about your crease.... almond-y asian eyes are great cuz then you can just apply a smoky grey eye shadow and look super mysterious- emerald green is also super fun..... although i would steer clear of any pink or red near the eye.... has a tendency to make people look sickly/tired
sorry post is so long but hey.... there are tons of makeup tricks!Good makeup techniques for asian eyes?
Curl your eyelashes. make it long. then just put some pink eye shadow on and a little bit uv eyeliner. try opening ur eyes wide!! lol. im asian and my eyes r humungo!!! and i put on the eye shadown, eye liner, and curled my eyelashes and my eyes looked like huge lol it was really cute =]

She has lot's of good videos and she's asian too, so maybe that will help. All her videos ranges from hair, to eye make up, to skin care treatment. They are very helpful, I hope you have a chance to look at them. I've learned a lot of stuff from her videos. Goodluck! :-)

What makeup and technique should I use to get great looking eyebrows?
Should I wax, pluck or shave them?Should use powder or pencil to make them look fuller and longer?Help! What makeup and technique should I use to get great looking eyebrows?
Okay, so eyebrows are the most important feature on your face when doing makeup. It basically defines the whole face. I would recommend you get them waxed once a month, so the professionals can shape it for you. THEN, every week, you can just pluck the unwanted hairs out. I like using powder because for me, pencil is just a bit too harsh. Fuller and longer? Haha. Just DO NOT overpluck. That is the number one no-no in getting great brows. What makeup and technique should I use to get great looking eyebrows?
Just pluck away stray hairs, but don't pluck above your eyebrows. You can use clear mascara to keep your eyebrows neat and in place.
use eye liner in black blue brown helps to make your eyes bigger and stand out more
I think waxing cleans up your eyebrows the best and makes them look more distinct and flawless rather than plucking or shaving. Waxing also obviously lasts the longest since it's completely removing the hair rather than just trimming it at the surface, and is less time consuming than plucking. Then i'd go pick up an eyebrow pencil with a brush on the end to make them look full. I feel a pencil is much easier than powder and a lot less messy.
Waxing is the best to me, and I have done it all. When I mess up I use eyeshadow to fill in the space, or eyeliner.
Try different techniques to see wqhat suits you the best.
personally i would wax simply because you know that they will turn out great getting them done by a professional and also they know what shape works best!
I have mine done once a month and just pluck out the stray hairs every so often and i only pay five pounds a time!
have them waxed so much better which gives them shape
i would wax them first to get the shape then keep plucking out the stray hairs to keep the shape.
Wax and pluck, but don't do it yourself, see a professional and that is all you need, if you need to make them fuller I find powder look best, and you can use a little white eyeshadow under your eyebrows to define them. good luck
dont ever pluck brows from top! take hairs from underneath! ive heard threading is a good new technique nd makes your brows look brilliant! i like 2 either have them tinted at the salon! which lasts up 2 a week or so for a nice effect! also i think i little bit of pencil looks great but not dead harsh of course!
I would recomend you get the professionaly done at a nice salon it only costs about $14. Then you can pluck the eyebrow hairs that start to come in from after that because they you have the shape and just pluck the strays.
Look in magazines and try and find an eyebrow shape that you like.
With eyeliner, draw an outline of that shape onto your own eyebrows.
With clean tweezers pluck one hair at a time away (everything outside of your outline)
With brow pencils if you really want to exaggerate your brow you can colour in lightly the lower half of your eyebrow. Your eyebrow should get thinner towards the outter corner of your eye, and the tip of your eyebrow should run down until the point it would cross if a line was drawn from the tip of your eye. Do this with a brow pencil very neatly.
Good luck =]
maybe this link will help: http://www.ultimate-cosmetics.com/beauty鈥?/a>
Waxing gets rid of the bulk of the eyebrow and then shape with tweezers
Also, ask your salon about threading, its an age old method of hair removal and its coming back!!!!!!!!

Cirque du Soleil makeup...TECHNIQUES!?
For my theater makeup class in college, I have been fasinated by the Cirque du Soleil makeup, colors and consistancy of the brilliance on each actors face. Does anyone know (maybe a makeup artist with experience) if this is airbrushed, or grease paint or what kind of make up this is? Do the actors apply it themselves (i would imagine this to be so due to the high density of people involved in the show)?...please, any information on this would be really appreciated to satisfy my curiousity! Thanks!!Cirque du Soleil makeup...TECHNIQUES!?

Most of the performers are required to do their own makeup so I doubt that they are airbrush techniques.
Many professional circus performers use products from the Mehron line.

What is a good makeup technique for inset eyes?
i can never seem to get eye liner on the top of my eyelids, it either is totally off or never looks quite right, and my eyes are inset not VERY inset but fairly, enough that a person could tell, so what's a good makeup technique for my type of eye? What is a good makeup technique for inset eyes?

If you have inset eyes, you want them to look slightly further apart.
To acheive this you should avoid put any eyeliner in the inner corners of your eyes (closer to your nose), and aim on placing more of an effect on the outer corners of your eyes (furthest part) by either making a small smokey effect there or winged effect....also place more mascara on the lashes closer to the outer cornrs of your eyes. This will draw attention away from the inset eyes.
You could also place some shimmer eyeshadow on the outer corner of your eye so that people notice the shimmer and draw their attention there instead of the inset eyes.
Hope that helps :)

Mineral makeup techniques??
I use revlon mineral foundation on my face every day but it seems to disappear quickly. I have had some advise about using a primer first. What is a primer? What does it do and what make would be suited to this type of make-up? Do you need a veil or setting powder or what ever you use to finish the look?
thanks very much.
xMineral makeup techniques??
with mineral makeup you don't need primer. primer is made for creamy products. Use a light moisturizer [something like the original olay one] before you apply and then leave it 20mins or so and then apply the foundation. i find it easiest [and i have the same one as you-the revlon one], to get some on the brush, tap off the excess and then like brush onto my skin in little circles quite fast and hard all over, putting more on the brush when needed and going over parts more when needed. And no I dont use setting powder, its not necessary because the foundation is powder itself, therefore sets itself, i personally just finish with some blush :)x

Yes use a primer. A primer is a bit like a moisturizer that u apply under your makeup. It smoothes ur skin for a better applictation and over all will make your foundation last much much longer! That why people use primers, there great!hair straightener

Stage makeup techniques, tips & tricks?
what is the best way to apply stage makeup?Stage makeup techniques, tips %26amp; tricks?
Do really thick black winged eyeliner, then a bright colour like bright blue on your eyelids up the the crease. Then at the crease and a bit above apply a dark colour of a similar shade. With blue you could do a really dark navy blue, or grey. Or you could do light brown then dark brown.
Then with white shadow or white eyeliner do lots of white under your eyebrows and then tons in the inner corners of your eyes.
Red lipstick looks best on stage.
For foundation, always go one to two shades darker than you would normally wear.
Fake eyelashes are great too!
Lots of blush.

Makeup techniques for small eyes...?
My eyes, in comparison to most, are smaller than average. They're also very round. Personally I would love bigger, more almond shaped eyes. Are there any makeup techniques to make your eyes appear ';longer';? haha I hope this makes sense! =D
I've tried...
curling my eyelashes (works well, any tips appreciated)
winging my eyeliner, cats eye look (also works, tips appreciated)
and I've heard using white eyeliner on the inside of your eye works well to make them larger?Makeup techniques for small eyes...?
I use white eyeshadow on the inner corner of my eyes to make them appear larger and always remember to use mascara on your lower lashes. The more coats of mascara you use, the bigger your eyes appear because you are ';opening'; the eyes.
What you can do is get contact lens which help to enlarge your pupils for a larger eye look. There's this pair called GEO lens from korean(they do import and are pretty cheap like 18$ for a year with and w/o degree) Really should check it out! Many of the asian girls (including myself) use this for bigger eyes.

What is a makeup technique to cover up a cold sore that is almost healed
(but the skin is still a little bumpy)What is a makeup technique to cover up a cold sore that is almost healed
None. You shouldn't try to cover them up until they are completely healed. Adding make up to it will add more bacteria and may delay the healing or make it worse. Herpes (which is what a cold sore is) is very very contagious, so if you use a brush to put make up on the sore, you are going to need to throw it away so you don't give yourself herpes again. What is a makeup technique to cover up a cold sore that is almost healed
Honestly, leave it alone. It is almost healed, I did that and it made it worse. Just don't touch it, keep it clean. If it looks a bit red, put some ice on it for a bit. Take some concealer and apply it next to the bump on the skin, not the lip or scab or bump.

How do i do this makeup technique?
i have been trying to make my eyes look darker and bolder withought looking like an emo.
just something that really brings out my eyes.
any ideas/tricks will do!
thanksHow do i do this makeup technique?

Does anybody know how to do this makeup technique?
http://a68.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/imag鈥?/a>
her eye makeup, i really like it.
...or does anybody know a website where they show you how?Does anybody know how to do this makeup technique?
okay she used a pencil eyeliner on the top and bottom and then she smudged it. she also used brown eyeshadow and pink lip glossDoes anybody know how to do this makeup technique?
I think they took a thick black kohl eyeliner pencil and lined top and bottom, then smudged, then went over it with matching dark gray or black eyeshadow, and then put false eyelashes on. Looks like they used a little taupe or light brown eyeshadow oin her crease and browbone.
Good luck! =)
thats basicly like smokey eye, go youtube and search that OR search scene make-up//hair
Just take a black eyeliner pencil and pencil on thick.
Apply the light eyeshadow to your brow bone and just under your eyeliner on your lowerlid.
it takes practice and a steady hand to get it the way she has it (this is why she has professionals apply it), but with some practice you will see results!
don t do it a dont support this kind of heinicity

Angle the tip of the pencil toward your lashes and lightly draw from inner to outer corner.
mascara
eye shadow brush(s)
eye liner
smudger

Good luck!hair straightener

lol nice pic..yah i can help..Applying makeup is really simple and should not be over thought..Since u have awesome blue eyes u need to avoid wearing any blue eye make up..not eyeliner or mascara just the shadow..Brown and golds are a great color for blue eyes and so are purples..for u the deeper the purple the better id say..So now that u have the colors u need to know how to put it all on ur face to make it look good and for it to accent ur face..Pick out a color and get 3 shades of it a dark a light and a midtone..(i'll use golds as an example)..first u would take a dark brown and apply it in the far side of ur eye all the way untill about the iris. then u take a cream and apply it to the rest of the lid(w/out covering the makeup u just applied) since u have such big eyes try not to apply makeup to the brow bone but make sure u put it in the crease otherwise when u blink there will be a line..then take a gold and blend the two colors together at about the iris then add mascara and id use a brow pencil for u too..

If you work in a store, you can build up a client list, and perhaps, work from home with your exclusive customers.

Here is a link to the Press Room for Cirque du Soleil. There is an article about their makeup artist and makeup techniques.

Most of the performers are required to do their own makeup so I doubt that they are airbrush techniques.
Many professional circus performers use products from the Mehron line.
For clowns, Mehron has lines specifically developed for Whiteface, Auguste, and Tramp clowns. These were developed for Ringling Bros.Cirque du Soleil makeup...TECHNIQUES!?

What is a good makeup technique for inset eyes?
i can never seem to get eye liner on the top of my eyelids, it either is totally off or never looks quite right, and my eyes are inset not VERY inset but fairly, enough that a person could tell, so what's a good makeup technique for my type of eye? What is a good makeup technique for inset eyes?
if you really like eyeliner, then try to use one that has a sponge at the other end so that you can smudge it a little and that will look nice ...What is a good makeup technique for inset eyes?

That why people use primers, there great!

Lots of blush.
good luck!Stage makeup techniques, tips %26amp; tricks?
you gotta put a lot lot on so it can be seen from afar

Cheers!
Yes! White eyeliner works amazingley! I use it all the time! It makes my eyes look longer, wider, and bigger:)
i also have small eyes, and the white liner works great! it has become part of makeup routine. you should definetly try it!

Much needed makeup ? to be answered pleasee anyone have good suggestions for some techniques for eyeshadow?
In other words, I need some ideas of other techniques for applying eyeshadow? for example applying three different colors, one technique is to apply the darker greyish color on the lid, a lighter brighter color diagnal from the outer top corner of the lid to the bottom inner corner and then to apply an even lighter color to the crease across. im looking for ideas and techniques like this and also colors that can be mixed, colors that can be mixed that blend well together. also if anyone has any other good eye makeup techniques and ideas id appreciate that too. thank you!Much needed makeup ? to be answered pleasee anyone have good suggestions for some techniques for eyeshadow?

:]Any makeup tips/techniques to cover up dark scars?
I use to have the same problem on my arm. I would put concealor on it,and blend it in with a little makeup but it always wore off fast. So It sounds crazy, but I put my eyeshadow glue/base/primer [whatever you call it,lol] on it, then put my concealor and makeup over it. It stayed mostly covered for like 7 hours instead of wareing off in a couple minutes. But if you don't wanna use makeup use a fake tan. When your tan it makes it a lot less noticable. Good luck!
You could try a mineral powder, such as BareMinerals or Sheer Cover, to hide it. Other natural products from Physicians Formula, Revlon, etc. might work too. I have a scar from a burn on my chin and loose mineral powder always covers it almost completely.
The only other option, other than laser treatment (way expensive), is to buy scar treatment, such as Mederma, in order for the scar to fade away. However, this takes almost a year, so for now I'd stick with makeup.

This is for concealing dark circles but will work the same for dark scars. Use the Color Correcting Wheel she is using. It is the best you can get.

You can try searching through magazines. Glamour is my favorite for good information on new makeup techniques and products. If you want more hands on advice try going to the makeup counters at one of your local department stores and talking to one of the associates. Are there schools that just teach how to apply makeup and different techniques of applying it?
Is there such a school? Are there schools that just teach how to apply makeup and different techniques of applying it?
Yes, absolutely. There is one called Cinema Makeup School in LA that specializes in all types of makeup: special effects, beauty, airbrush, etc.
Here is their website:
http://www.cinemamakeup.com/
Just do a google search for 'makeup school' and I am sure you can find a lot more. Are there schools that just teach how to apply makeup and different techniques of applying it?
Try the Brick Masons labor hall. I think they hire out for that kind of work.
I always go to the college haircutting school for cuts and I believe they have an accelerated program for just cosmetics. cfcc in ocala, FL. Take a look around and actually go talk to the cosmetology schools in your area and see what they have to offer.
It's not as bad as you think I get a high and tight and there's not a whole lot of ways a student barber can screw it up. Besides it's $4.00 including tip!
yes, but they are only in big major cities.
Beauty college.
I believe there was mention of some companies that work for Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger (Duh, right?!?!?) Anyway, I have the 'Special Features' DVD as well as the Full Screen DVD, and I'd be glad to watch it for you and get back to you. However, I suggest you go buy it or rent it; it is a really great movie. Then again, aren't ALL Arnold Schwarzenegger movies really great movies ... ?
i do not think there are schools as such that teach you how to apply make up. however,i am sure there are a few classes and workshops that help you learn how to apply make up.
Well, a woman I know is a Mary Kay lady and she goes to classes they offer for this very thing! Also, there are cosmetology schools to that offer this.
http://www.westmoreacademy.com/galleries_videos.htm this is the website for the leader in movie and television make-up as well as special effects make-up (think star trek) Also try typing Makeup artist schools or something similar in yahoo search. There are many schools out there, but finding the right one is important. I use to want to do special effects makeup for star trek when I was younger, that's how I found out about Michael Westmore and his school. It's THE place to get the right training. Its the only one I found with the reputation I was looking for. They send you information for free. I attended cosmetology school first so I could have a broader base of knowledge, then was going to go to the westmore academy.hair straightener

no, but i would go to a department store. ask for a for some tips if that's all your looking for, they should give you some good pointers and tips. but if your looking for some intense stuff you may want to consider taking a course at a beauty college.

You have a really nice skin tone, and pretty hair, i could reccomend you do your hair into a kind of sultry do, by curling it =).
You should apply a light coat of Mineral Powder Foundation, it's really good and light so you don't look like you have alot of makeup on.
For eyes, really any color eyeshadow works, its just how you apply it. You would look nice with peachy pink colors, just different tones. apply the lightest one in the side of your lid closest to your nose, then a medium tone to the middle of your lid, and a darker done (brown/black) on the outer sides of your lid in a sort of %26lt; %26gt; shape. Then you should add some natural color lipgloss, like a light peachy pink color that makes your lips have a natural color with some sparkle =). And remember to diffuse the eyeshadow when applying it, that means when you put the 3 colors on your eyes, put alot, and then take a medium size brush and rub on the edges of the eyeshadow to soften the edges. =)
another idea is putting pink as the light color in the inner edge of the lid, and a babyblue on the middle and outer side, and add some giller with a glittery eyeliner pencil =)

I like adding some symbols and stuff on the side of my eye with a liquid eyeliner =) be creative!

??What are some really good, modern makeup techniques???
For mysterious but not to ';dark'; eye makeup, brush a warm brown over your entire lid (all the way to the brow), then add a dark navy blue to the creases and and along the lash line, blend well, and then finish off with a dark gray liner and almost black mascara. To keep the drama all in the eyes, pair with a natural looking lipstick and bronze blush. What are some really good, modern makeup techniques???

Hi, I have a good one ...I like my eye lashes to look nice and thick and long. What I do to get them there is I keep baby powder on my vanity. When I do my make -up I use a lot of mascara, I put a bit of baby powder in a saucer....and before each time I add another coat of mascara ...I put the tip of my finger into the powder ...and making sure i don't let the powder get into my eye coat my eye lashes with the powder. It works great even on short and thin lashes...Try it ...your going to be surprised!!!..oh yes and let the lashes dry in between coats ....also do not forget to curl the lashes!...HAVE FUN!!
I love to go to marykay.com and use their section called virtual make over. Here it helps me decide what colors would go right with my skin and eye color.
I just simply print it off and go to the store and buy the cheaper make up that matches those colors.
It gives such natural beautiful colors that make me look very pretty yet elegant.
Oh and it also shows how to apply your make-up on correctly!
I would love for you to go to my website and check out the tips and trends!!

Hi!
The really ';in'; thing for this fall/winter is smokey eyes. The best color to use is Black eyeshadow... I know... you think thast sounds too dark but it looks really pretty...
Step #1 .Put it on your top eyelid to the crease
Step #2. Put a little sparkly clear eyeshadw over it to smudge the look.
Step #3. Then get a eyeliner brush, put the black eyeshadow on it and use it on your bottom eyelid in a thin, but not to thin line, right next to your lashes. Put the clear sparkly eyeshadow over that also.
Step #4. Next use black liquid eyeliner on you top eyelid, and on the inside of you bottom eyelid, which can be kinda tricky at first also put the eyeliner on the inner corner of your eye in a very thin line.
Step #5. Finish with very black thicking mascara
Step #6. Your Done.
When you have smokey eyes always put the rest of your make up on in really light colors, like light pink lip gloss, and a little bit of blush. You want youe eyes to be your main feature.

Look like you have less make up on, but dont really! if you know what i mean, natural colours for daytime and pinkish blush on the apples of the cheeks and just gloss on your lips.
for evening, darker blush and dark eyes, 'smokey eye' use Black/coal wet to dry eye shaddow, draw/paint along the last line and with a short firm brush blend the line over the eye lid. then apply a small amount of grey/sparkley, i some times use purple sparkly shaddow over the eye lid an in the corner of the eye on the lower lash line, have some red gloss to slightly dab over your lips and them apply a clear shinny gloss over the top, and never forget, loads of mascara!
